I've been trying to find a checking or credit card account that will pay me points for mortgage payments. I have multiple properties that I own and I'd love to add another .5 or 1% income on them.

I've looked into this in the past but have been unable to capitalize - anyone here have a bright idea? (I pay off my balances & excellent score)

@nblracer and @dd
Sometimes banks have CD sales when they need the money to fill a need for a certain term, so you cannot use that to justify abnormal yield curves. Other than the cases of CD sale, if 6month CD is higher than 3-5 Yr CDs, that's a market signal for an expectation of interest drop to happen between 6mo-3yrs from the day you see the rates.

    “The longer the term of the CD you purchase, the higher the interest rate will be”

Not always true. 2 years ago, when rates were at a 6month pr year CD had a higher rate then the 3 or 5 Year Cd. That was because the discount rate was so high at that the time, the banks could not take the risk to lock in such high rates for a long period. since they speculated the fed would cut rates within that time period.
