Green or not, the main objective of investment is to get a high return. But one thing for sure, green investment will give a better life for our next generation.

Interesting and thoughtful post. To the extent that socially responsible or green companies outperform a broader market index, may or may not reflect the benefit of their policies. There could be a causal relationship where well-managed companies outperform and well-managed companies focus on improving all aspects of their business including their corporate citizenship. The impact of green policies on customer behavior has a long (although increasingly steep) ramp to it. However, the ability for companies to differentiate based on their green policies will dissipate as more companies adopt similar strategies.

if you want the shure bet invest in peripherals supplier like turbines, powerlines, generators and steelmakers because green is coming anyway. my secret bets though are cyclone, enerG and brightsource.
