I am hoping to see more money going into research and governments doing their part. All my respect goes to those suffering, be it you personally or a member of your family. My hope is for quick medical advancement very soon to help all those in need.

Umm, we're talking here just about the cost of these mindless wars without end in Afghanistan, Iraq, Pakistan and Yemen which will accomplish nothing but generate a lot of campaign contributions, guys. (and kill, maim and anger a lot of individuals on both sides in the process)

Can one trillion dollars to make world peace, overcome poverty and handling lack of education around the world. Hmmm, I don't think so

Well, that's not entirely intellectually honest, now is it?

While the ethics of the whole thing were highly questionable, the fact of the matter is that we didn't just sink trillions into the bank bailout and wave goodbye; much of that money has already been repaid. So as much as I'd like an 11-month vacation, the bailout was at least marginally more responsible than that.

Also, it's worrisome to see comments here that don't seem to recognize that the bailout isn't an arrow unique to Obama's quiver. The bailout was initiated (and the first wave dispersed) under Bush. For better or worse, it's one of the best examples of bipartisanship in years.

But truth is pretty complicated, so let's make cool posters!

Frightening. In 1996 there was approximately $700 in circulation for every ounce of gold in the US reserve, today there is approximately $11000 and growing. The US government is producing money "as it needs it". That is like using your Visa card to pay your Master card. It has to end somewhere. Wylie

Unfortunitely I think people are all suffering from diminished capacity these day's.
The almighty dollar has not been backed up for decades! (Federal Reserve Note).
U.S.A. is no longer a financial institution.
The only thing we have going for us is fire power. I compare it to a big strong man that owes a weaker man, If the big man doesn't payback (Oh Well, Tough luck).

1 trillion dollars is about 1 trillion beer cans or about 320 beer cans for every adult on earth, or one big hangover every 2 weeks for all adults on the planet.
