Interesting way to frame life--as a quest for consumption and the material trappings of bourgeois "respectability."

Welcome to consumerist slavery, kids--be it ever so "responsible." Now available with pie charts!

[You may now return to your regularly-scheduled white-collar slavery.]

Mortgage debt will be a far bigger risk & burden than xbox & iPad credit card debt.

And marriage is also a big financial risk, especially if you're marrying a materialistic woman who likes you because you can buy an expensive house. Plus 50% divorce rate, which can lead to divorce court a$$ raping, and 18 years of crippling child support & alimony payments. All of which often leads to prison (deadbeat dads).

The presentation is awesome!!

Regarding the points about the house and girl at the end, I do commend the inclination that one should get involved with these ONLY after learning to BUDGET.

Yea, a house is the biggest debt, but also perhaps the most secure asset. Once one is able to properly budget, and understand financial prudence, a mortgage can be paid off quicker, wealth easier to accumulate and prosperity is at arms reach. That is financial education I would like the whole world to know

Buying a house is usually the BIGGEST financial debt of all. Many people drown financially in order to pay for a house. Most of this animation was pretty good however the ending I thought was terrible. A house will deplete a good portion of your money (will also usually take 20+ years to pay off) and a woman will also deplete whatever is left ;).
