Honestly I have found that I love the store brand flavored coffee pre-ground. It cost $1.98 per pound and is no weaker than Eight O'Clock coffee, plus I dont' have to grind the beans, and it does not last long enough to go bad in my house. Of course my out of the house coffee purchases prior to brewing my own were all at the gas station/convience store down the road; there are no coffee houses on my route to work and I wouldn't go out of my way for a cup of Dunkin' Donuts coffee if it was free (not that I don't like it, I'm just always running behind schedule).

I have tried to swear off the latte factor, and have developed a love for black coffee in the past year. And increasingly I am favoring coffee roasted here in Austin. Two of my favorites are Ruta Maya (organic Mexican grown, Austin roasted) and Fara (Nicaraguan grown and Austin roasted).

I have considered roasting my own, but just end up never making the leap.
