Hello, please make sure that we can see our reminder history. This is needed because many of us are in the process of getting clear on finances and use this with spouses/mates who need to be able to see what WAS due not just what IS due.

As a programmer myself, this is a very easy enhancement to keep the reminder history for a least 3 months past.

Thanks for considering this enhancement.

What I really would like is a double check of all the automatic transfers I have set to pay my bill. Sometimes there are glitches and I manually check every month anyway, I would love if I got an email instead from Mint each month saying "yes everything is okay, all your automatic transfers worked"

You can't remove it, but you can shrink how much space it uses. The article above explains where the hide details is.

Can anyone tell me how to completely remove the entire Bill Reminder section? I do not use this feature and it takes up space.

Hello,

The 'repeating' function for the Bill Reminder is great. However, the repeat times (e.g., 'every 2 weeks', 'every month') given as options are too restrictive. For instance, I have certain payments which repeat every week. Unfortunately, there is not an option for weekly bills. Could this function be user defined? The function should be entirely customized based on individual needs.

I agree that this comes up a bit short (unless I'm missing something). This is a super-simple bill reminder, and I don't think this is going to meet the needs of most who have been looking for a way of managing bills in Mint.

First of all, I'm sure anyone who's using Mint is probably also using online bill pay. The people out there who still mail in a check or pay their power bill at the grocery store probably have no idea what Mint is. Bill reminders are fairly superficial in this case. The only value that I get from a reminder is to log into my bank and make sure the bill payment is still set up correctly. Yep, it is, just like it was last month and the month before *because it's automatic!!!* Maybe, the value from the reminder is to log into my bank and make sure there's enough funds for the bill payment to not overdraw, but in this case, isn't the Minty way to kind of plan ahead and budget around the bill rather than waiting until the bill is almost due? Plus, what about bills that are due bi-monthly? quarterly? annually? I don't see a way to set that up.

Here's my own, very manual process that I'm going to have to keep trying to follow: I set up two reminders for each bill, one for when the statement usually arrives, and one for when the payment is due, set to repeat as needed. When the first reminder comes up, I keep an eye out for the bill, and then update the second reminder with the actual due date and amount due. At the beginning of each budget period, I pull up all the payment due reminders until the end of the budget period and enter them in manually as pending transactions in Mint. That way, I know up front what's available after bills and can make sure that my budgets still fit.

This process is pretty laborious, and I would just love it if Mint would let me just take a bill reminder and, with one click, add it to any account as a pending transaction.

Are the green bars on the timeline supposed to represent your account balances? I remember quicken had a cash flow view that would project when you might go into the red...that's what I'm looking for in Mint.

This new feature leaves a lot to be desired. I use Quicken on my desktop but have been looking for something to use on my devices (phone, Ipad) since the demise of quicken.com. I had hopes when Mint bought Quicken that they would support automatic transaction downloading but they haven't made the effort.

If you set up repeating reminders it should clear the current date and show the next date but it doesn't - ridiculous.

If you want to edit existing bills there is very, very, very small discreet type above the calendar, next to "upcoming bills" that says "change your reminders". If you click on that you can set the bills as repeating with time frame options. However, this is also problematic as the time framse are ridiculous. It doesn't allow weekly reminders so I can't enter things like automatic savings deductions. It also doesn't allow quarterly reminders for things like property taxes etc. It seems to me that they rushed this out and didn't do a good job of vetting it first.
I've given up on Mint as I also have repeated problems downloading account information from ING Direct and Vanguard. I purchased an Ipad app called Money Wiz which is great but I had to manually enter all my information again instead of importing it from Quicken as that is in MS format.
Goodbye Mint.com

great question! if you find out tom, will you let me know? i've asked similar questions from the website and have been directed here w/out much other help. i also wondered how you can edit the existing bills? for example: a few of my monthly bills are showing up as static bills when they are not static at all (electric, water, etc.). Any clue how to adjust these? Also, my mortgage and a few other bills are showing up as the whole amount due. anyone have any thoughts on these issues?

How do you clear a reminder once you've paid the bill? If I have a bill due on 9/5, and I pay it on 9/1, is there a way to clear the reminder so that it will show the next due date as 10/5?
