I recently proposed, and my fiance was deeply touched that I chose lab created gems and donated the 'savings' to an organization. She openly shares this with friends she shows the ring to, and in our circle there is a real shift in perception around this issue. BTW: The only way a jeweler can identify a lab created gem is because its flawless.
