I have had some success with getting the fees for paying over the phone waived in the past. The key is to not sounding desperate with the rep on the phone.

nothing to apologize about, seeing as how Mint uses Yodlee to aggregate accounts too! If your checking account doesn’t have bill pay options, using yodlee’s bill pay is definitely another good alternative — although I’m not too sure how well it works as another express payment option, as I have never used it to send last minute payments.

haha. that’s so true. the last two method boils down to… how much less can I reduce the late fees.

but you’re definitely right.. for those that may have trouble avoiding credit card fees, owning a credit card may not be in their best interest!

Seriously, as you said –> If a fee is charged, the charge usually ranges from $5 to $15

You are paying fast ( over the phone) to avoid a late fee but you get charge for paying over the phone seems like you are still paying a late fee they are just renaming the fee. Either way you are giving them extra money.

You cannot win with these credit cards!!!
