Cooking at home is the best way to save cash, but it’s nice to go out sometimes, too. Check out Frugal Foodie every Friday for a selection of the latest coupons for casual and fancy fare.

This week: free Slurpees, Thai cashew chicken, Restaurant Week menus and a wine-cork-for-dessert swap program, among other deals!

1. 7-Eleven

Visit participating stores on July 11 (Get it? 7/11, 7-Eleven) for a free 7.11-ounce Slurpee. Offer good between 11 a.m. and 11 p.m.

2. Panda Express

Visit on July 14 and get a free order of Thai Cashew Chicken with a print out coupon. Participating locations only.

3. Del Taco

Facebook fans of the chain can print out a coupon good for a free Taco Del Carbon with any purchase. Participating locations only. Good through July 15.

4. Famous Dave’s

Buy one entree, get a second free (up to $15) when you use a print out coupon. One offer per table; dine-in orders only. Participating locations only. Offer ends July 13.

5. New York Restaurant Week

From July 12-25, visit participating restaurants for specially priced $24.07 lunches and $35 dinners. (Pricing typically applies to two- or three-course meals, but excludes alcohol and tips.)

6. French Restaurant Week

Washington, D.C.’s French International Culinary Society is promoting French cuisine with menu specials at participating restaurants from July 9-15. For example, Bastille is offering a three-course dinner for $35 — and extends the deal an extra two days to July 17.

7. Restaurant.com

Coupon code “FUN” at checkout gets you an extra 80% off already discounted gift certificates to local venues. The code expires July 12. Restaurant.com usually prices $25 certificates at $10. (Spend $20 to get $50; $30 for $75, etc.) With the discount, you’ll pay just $2, $4, or $6. Each restaurant sets conditions regarding the number of diners, days and menu items a certificate can be used for, so check the fine print before you buy.

8. O’Charley’s

Use a print out coupon to save $5 on a purchase of $20 or more. Cannot be used for alcoholic beverages, tax or gratuity. Participating locations only. Good through July 18.

9. Bristol Seafood Grill

Doing your part to recycle wine corks can pay off. During July, bring a cork into the Creve Coeur or O’Fallon locations of this Missouri restaurant and get a free dessert.
