Want a free personal finance book?

Which ones? Here’s a list of books Mint gives away:

All right, you have me intrigued. What do I have to do?

For the simple process of selling your soul to us… just kidding. All you have to do is submit your worse financial train wreck story to us (stories are posted anonymously).

If your story gets chosen for a Tuesday post, you’ll win a free book of your choice from the list above or perhaps a personal finance book you’ve been eying that wasn’t listed.

It’s as easy as apple pie!

  1. Alright, I’ll be brave enough to get some commenting started. My financial “train wreck” isn’t anything extraordinary. It’s really more of a “bicycle wreck”.

This January I signed up for a 1 year contract for a gym membership after I was all pumped up from writing my resolutions. I thought to myself, $10 a week is nothing, it’ll be great!

Well 6 months later and I still haven’t gone to said gym, but have paid $240, and have another $240 to go. Being a recent grad this adds up. I never realized what the full cost of this membership would be. If I would have only calculated the full price of it in January I know that my decision would have been different.

    Cool site you’ve got! Cheers,

    Flint
