Circles 3 and 4 repeat the same image. Is one missing?
Is there a logic behind the sequence?
It would be useful to be able to review in chronological order, and gain some knowledge on the design for each.
Is there a source you can credit and/or link to?

They need to leave the US dollar alone and stop spending money on trying to redesign it until people have more of it to spend.

“Redeemable in lawful money”. Boy, that says a lot. Paper alone isn’t a lawful currency. It’s totally worthless. Only our ignorance and faith gives it value.

Notice how many of them were “Silver Certificates” or “Gold Certificates”. One could waltz up to the reserve bank and actually turn them in for bullion… back when the dollar was more than a fiat currency “backed by the full faith of the United States”… well, that faith is waning, folks. Better buy your gold now… GLD on the stock market for a portion of your portfolio.

Now that China is assuming the role of world’s number one economy is a good time to update our paper currency. Why not have different colors for the different denominations?
