$135K avg. salary? Are you including the averages of executives? The avg US salary for a Cisco engineer is in the 5 figure range.
I worked on the Cisco office in Irvine, CA and I can guarantee you that the average Cisco salary for engineers are not in the 6 digit range. Cisco is currently in the process of outsourcing most of their engineering and IT positions to India, China and Twain. Cisco does not value it’s employee like it used to!
I would love to get a job working at one of the Google headquarters, seems like they have a lot of fun doing their jobs.
