great that we can export transactions for offline use and permenaant records. can you suggest software that has easy interface and simple import for comma seperated values. i need mainly to group and print lists of catagoreies to match to invoices. plus i share money with brother and have to import to software that will allow me to seperate income and expenses.

we tried to maintain two seperate bank accounts but have been borrowing or using eachothers money. no big deal to us but goverment agncies need my income /expences seperate? any suggestions would be welcome. it seems like quicken and money would be overkill and i have already quickbooks products again overkill. don't need more than to seperate the income/expenses then reconcile with bank statements

Lets say I use Bank Of America and I change the Transaction Description to something cleaner that what my bank places there by default.

Will Mint automatically update this Transaction Description when it imports? Is there an easy way to make the Mint Description match exactly with my Bank's Description?

How do you categorize an investment or saving transaction so that it does not show in budget and is not shown as an expense?
For example, How do I categorize a transaction where I transfer certain dollars from checking account to savings account

Quickbooks data as well. I just bough Quicken 2009, but the user interface is clumsy, and I have to pay extra for connectivity through BofA. I'd be much more satisfied staying with Mint.

I am ready to leave quicken. I think Mint is the way to go.

Only thing stopping me is, not being able to import my current data. What is the plan for that feature.

It would be nice to have free range of categories. I am the anal retentive type that prefers some of my own categories to the default ones on mint.com's.

Mint's autocategorizations are getting more and more ridiculous...

How does 'Atame Tapas Bar' get its name changed to an 'Auction' house and categorized based on that. What part of 'Bar' doesn't give the right clue?

I'm at the point where I'd rather just have NO attempts to rename ANYTHING. I'm convinced it would be better. Please allow us this option.

Love the site. Will you be adding capability to trend Assets, Liabilities and Net Assets? It would be great to see a graph or graphs that show how these trend over time.

Thanks, Bill

I just found Mint and absolutely love it. I've always been terrible at budgeting, but Mint has definitely made keeping track of my finances more fun and interesting.

Thanks Mint!!!
