Ryan Says:

I love mint and was excited to see the iphone app but was it would not install on my ipod touch. I do know know why Mint would think I wouldn’t want to use it on my ipod touch. This is the first app that I have found that was iphone only. What gives Mint?

Aaron Says:

I just wanted to say thanks. This iPhone app is amazing and the interface fits in great with the other applications. Mint is a great service and finally having access on my phone is liberating. Great job!

Jeff Byrnes Says:

Totally awesome. I’ve been waiting for something like this from you guys for a while, thanks!

Dan Says:

Friggin’ awesome guys! Thanks a lot for getting this done, been wanting it for quite a while now.

I do have a couple of suggestions for the app. The main overview screen feels pretty cramped currently, mainly due to the “Accounts” section on top. The dollar amounts in there (Cash and Credit Debt) have nearly zero white space around them which makes it fairly painful to look at. I’m probably a bit picky over details though being a Mac and iPhone interface designer myself.

The other thing I really, really wish was included is the interactive “Where you spend” chart from the website. You have the same information in the “Cash flow” section of the app but it’s not nearly as visually intuitive as the pie chart. There’s also no way to look at the sub-catagories like you can when clicking on a slice of the pie chart on the site. The iPhone is all about “quick and easy” and I think the interactive pie chart would be a huge boon in this.

I don’t want to sound like I’m all complaints though! I know how hard it is to get a new app together like this and make it great. You’ve done a wonderful job so far and I hope the future updates make it that much better! :)

Ten tons of AWESOME Says:

YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Gabriel Says:

Any chance of an Android application being developed, or any resources you’d recommend for the open source community to develop one?

Roy Says:

Glad to see that mint.com is finally moving to mobile. How long before Blackberry users are taken care of as well?

Chris Says:

So glad to see this app! One thing I would suggest is the ability to hide accounts from the iPhone app, say if you didn’t want people to see your savings account or investments or if you have multiple accounts and you only want to use the iPhone to keep track of your credit card or checking.

Jill Says:

I love Mint!!!
Just downloaded the iPhone application. Yes, I have the same problem that the budget field won’t display on iPhone (3G/software version 2.2)
I’m looking forward to see Mint come up with a fix for that!
Thank you!!!

Jeff Says:

Great… now if only there was an Android version.

Barry Witt Says:

Having same problem with budget. I tried removing a budget item from website and creating it again but had the same result. No Budget on iPod Touch. I appreciate all of the hard work. Question, does this app store records on the iPhone or iPod Touch? Just curious as to wether I will be able to access my info when I do not have a WiFi connection and does the app look back to information stored on the mint website or does it get its info from the users financial providers?

Thanks again Wonderful app.

Kyle Says:

Android will take one please. Love your service and would love to see it on my G1.

Jeremy Says:

I am getting the following error when i click install:

Not Compatible
This application is not compatible with this iPhone.

Graham Charles Says:

Great app! It would be great for it to save my e-mail address (but NOT password)… much easier to log in that way. Alternatively, I’d love to be able to set up a passcode, sort of like 1password or other secure apps. (Note: I don’t want the phone-wide passcode - mostly I don’t need it. Just for the Mint app.)

Daniel Says:

I am happy that an app has been released for the iPhone. However as a T-Mobile G1 user I would LOVE to see this app for the G1. Are you guys planning on creating an app for the G1 as well?

Viva la G1!!

Cody Banks Says:

This is amazing!! Mint is blowing quicken out of the water! I hope you guys Make an app for Android!

j520 Says:

Thanks Mint! Could not have asked for a better Christmas present from you guys…

Jay Says:

One more for Android. Looks cool, but you know those t-mobile plans are cheaper — perfect for the mint user.

Alan Says:

Stephen -

I have a blackberry. When is “eventually”?

How do you know what your user phone usage stats are? I don’t recall being asked what I use when I signed up?

Can’t really complain of course. You provide a great, free, service. And I thank you for it.

Srinivas Says:

Congrats on your iPhone launch. I would like to add my voice to the android request. Or even better an open API?

Robert Spiropoulos Says:

I’m a Mint AND Blackberry user and would love to see the mobile app on my device. How about a tab/button/field/poll on the webpage so everyone can let you know what devices they’re using? I’m pretty sure we crackberry users are more than 20%…

Terry Says:

It’s great that you are getting to our mobile devices… any chance you are working on something for the BlackBerry?

Thanks again for a great app and responsive/ingenious development team!!

Scott Says:

This would be great… if I had an iPhone :| How about a Blackberry Edition for all us crackberry addicts? PLEAAAASE…

thanks. Keep up the good work Minters!

jUsTiN Says:

At least please support version 2.1 and 2.2. Why limit the install only to 2.2…not everyone is running iPhone 2.2 =(

James Says:

Here’s another vote for a Blackberry version, I think that would be great. Any estimates on how long?

Love your service, better mobile access would be fantastic.

gene keenan Says:

It says
“Not Compatible
This application is not compatible with this iPhone”

nice one mint. please release an update that fixes this error.

j520 Says:

@gene
Yeah, unfortunately they set this up to only support iPhone 2.2, which is the new version just released by Apple.

@Mint
Not everyone is running version 2.2 - for various reasons. At least please support version 2.1. I’d be more than willing to test the Mint app on my iPhone 2.1…let me know.

Anwar Says:

Great! So where do we vote for a Blackberry application?

Daniel Says:

+1 for me too, I would also love to see an app for Android. Love Mint too :)

Andrew M. Says:

Register another vote for a Blackberry app, that would make the site much more useful!

sam Says:

Here is another voice to support 2.1 and not to limit to 2.2 only. I am sure there are so many people like me who don’t want to upgrade to 2.2 at this moment…so please release a 2.1 version..

Cody Banks Says:

That’s what is awesome about Android don’t have to jail break the the phone. So looks like if you want mint your going to have to jail break it again when you get your 2.2 version. Mint is on top of there game… Give them big time props.

John L Says:

+1 on the Blackberry vote. Being able to check my mint.com data when I’m out of the house without worrying about monitoring software (both illegal or company based) would be oh-so-nice.

Pip Says:

iPhone 2.1 version compatibility, PLEASE!!

Will@allthebestofthenet Says:

This is one of the things I love most about this blog… there is always something really cool that I didn’t know existed. Now if they make this for the Blackberry Storm, I’ll be a happy man!

http://www.allthebestofthenet.com

Andrew Choi Says:

+1 for the 2.1 support if feasible

Geof Says:

I’m having the same issue with budgets. Looking forward to the update! Great app for a great service.

Andrew Wright Says:

For all those that have 2.1, can’t you sync w/ iTunes and upgrade to 2.2 easily (it should prompt you to update to 2.2)? Then the Mint app should work.

R Forte Says:

Another vote for Blackberry, and please - for ALL recent berries, not just the Storm and Bold. Curve is the most disseminated model in the last two years, give us some love!

JS Says:

Yes, please take care of us blackberry folks.

+1 for Blackberry Storm.

Thanks for the great service, I love it.

Tek Says:

+1 for Blackberry

Cohen Says:

Let’s all stop complaining so much. Let’s remember that Mint is a free service.

Jason Says:

Blackberry app coming soon?

Ben Says:

+1 vote for an Android version.

@Stephen: Going by the number of your current users that also use Android is looking at things backwards. It’s just the opposite — putting this app on the Android Market would drive a ton of new customers to you.

Vlad Says:

Blackberry users use Mint more than iPhone users do. Please make a Blackberry app (especially for Storm). Thank you for providing a great free service!

Nik Says:

Wonderful app! I have a suggestion: it’s a bit of a pain to type in my login and password every time and I don’t want to stay logged in as I sometimes hand my iPhone to friends to play around with.
What would be nice is if the Mint iPhone app could have its own 4 digit PIN code (or use the iPhone’s 4 digit PIN - that could work too).

That adds a layer of security and simplicity for the user!

Robert Says:

+1 vote for Blackberry Bold.

Considering this website is geared towards those with an interest in finances, Blackberry should have been their first pick!

Robert Says:

One more thing,

For those of you wondering “Why the iPhone before the Blackbery”, Apple’s APIs are pretty wide open and they supply a lot of useful tools.

Rim on the other hand is a bit more stingy with their 3rd part development tools, which makes it difficult for another company to make a really nice product for the Blackberry.

TLDR: Apple makes it a lot easier to write apps for the iPhone compared to the Blackberry.

Ryan Adami Says:

I agree with my fellow CrackBerry users commenting on this post. Please don’t forget about us! I realize iPhones are the hottest thing since American Idol, but the BlackBerry crowd is strong as well. Plus I wonder about demographics . . . which users have more financial accounts that need tracking, budgeting and management? It may be more balanced than I think!

PS: How’s your tax software integration coming along?

Ryan Adami
Internet Marketing Specialist

Ben Says:

@Robert: And Android’s APIs are even more open. :)

Stephen Says:

Ryan, thanks for the feedback. You can check our new Tax Solution page here:

http://www.mint.com/solutions/taxes/

Taylor Says:

+1 vote for Android app. I agree that it is the wrong way to look at things saying that you need a 20% use rate from current users. There are many non-mint users with an Android phone that would come to mint _because_ of the app. Just my $0.02

Abbey Says:

I have an iPod touch and it would be great to have a part of the application that can be used without an internet connection. Specifically, I’m thinking of a ledger that allows me to deduct from the last known account balance. It would really help when it comes time to split up and categorize my transactions, especially cash. I would think this would also be beneficial for iPhone users who don’t want to sign in just to note a $3 purchase.

Kris Says:

Please bring your service to the UK - there is a huge gap in the market, nobody is providing financial assistance like this to the public. I would love to have access to all my finances on my iPhone.

Joe E Says:

Please, oh purdy purdy please a blackberry app!

Please?

James Says:

Love this site. Can you guys make an application for Blackberry Storm?

Tuyen Says:

This is a cool app. If no one has asked for it already, you should have a security code feature so that anyone can’t just pick up your phone and view your finances. Could be a simple one like the 4 digit style the iPhone has.

Chris Jr. Says:

I am an Android user and came here specifically to find a mint app after seeing it on my roomates iPhone. Hope it gets developed soon.

Grub1221 Says:

Mint App for Blackberry Storm would be awesome. There are just as many Blackberry users out there if not more than the iPhone.

ikusama Says:

One more for a Blackberry Storm App!

Neil Says:

+1 for the G1

I would be willing to beta test.

A Canadian Says:

Please release the Mint application in the Canadian iTunes Store!

Paul Says:

App for Storm!

Francesca Says:

Make an App for BLACKBERRY!!! Please please!

Jon Says:

Android app please.

Josh Childress Says:

I’m very Blackberry Curve 8310 user!! I would love to see them to release the Mint for Blackberry (different version of Blackberry such as Curve 83XX, Bold, Storm, Pearl).

Once this comes out, alot of people who have Blackberry will thank you for that! Trust me!

Jeff Says:

There seems to be a lot of demand for Blackberry and Android versions of this app. I just hope Mint is listening.

Josh Says:

One more vote for the Blackberry Curve. My wife just got an iPhone for V-Day and I’ve had my Curve for a while. I’m amazed at all the apps for her phone and would love to be as cool as her someday :) Maybe a mint.com app would elevate my coolness.

ArtRod Says:

+1 for BlackBerry users, a ton of 8700c’s out there. :-)

dc Says:

Vote for WinMo.

Melvin Says:

We really need an Android version, please!

asurroca Says:

Yet another vote for Android. Mint on my G1 would be bliss.

krazd Says:

Sarah Says:

Here’s yet another vote for the Blackberry App!

matthew turnbull Says:

I am getting the following error when i click install:

Not Compatible
This application is not compatible with this iPhone.

That sucks….I want the app, but can’t download it??????

Stephen Says:

Hi Matthew,

All you need to do is to update to the iPhone 2.2 firmware. It is free.

Jeprox Says:

Another vote for an Android app please… that’s the only thing stopping me from using Mint right now, really. I would as soon as the app hits the Android Marketplace. Until then….

alex Says:

+1 for blackberry again.

Chris Says:

I was going to try Mint, too bad you don’t support blackberries. Moving on…

LJ Says:

Blackberry app please!

husein Says:

I don’t think that a blackberry app has been requested enough. Blackberry bold app please!! :)

philaKATIEdelphia Says:

+1 for the Blackberry app, but I really wonder if Mint.com is interested in serving even the President (after all, he is a fellow crackberry abuser!).

David Says:

+1 for a Windows Mobile app!

Lindsay Says:

+1 for the Blackberry app. :)

Greg Says:

+1 for Blackberry app!

Markus Says:

Did we say we want a Blackberry version? A Storm (9530) version would be awesome. Oh, I’m excited of just the thought!

jason Says:

please develop an android app!

Lex Says:

I need this for my BlackBerry please!!!!

Bill Ahern Says:

+1 Android. G1 users need more useful apps and less fart noises kthnxbai

Sheryl Says:

Blackberry App…PLEASE!!! I’ve been comparing mint.com and yodlee for almost a year now, and that would be the money in the bank. App for Blackberry.

Paladin27 Says:

Another vote for Android, and I know 7 T-Mobile G1 users who would use it immediately if I tell them about Mint.com!

Karianne Says:

Please, PLEASE make an app for Blackberry!!!

Ken Says:

Mobile client only for iPhone? Why there is no client for Blackberry? Please make one for Blackberry? I am using mint.com since so long on a computer but I would appreciate if you would make a nice Blackberry client as well so that i can use it on my blackberry.

Thank you,

Jason Says:

Software developer and G1 owner here, also casting my vote for an Android app. I would be more than willing to help develop said app, though you’d be much better off if you just released a public API.

Patrick Says:

+1 for the blackberry! I don’t like pageonce and it’s all I’ve found… (blackberry curve)

Bevin Lorenzo Says:

ETA for Blackberry App?

Sherif Says:

I too would like to see an Android app, a google user is the type of person you’ll find on mint.com :)

Adam Says:

Would love to see and Android client. Buxfer as published an Android client and I’ve been using them ever since. I’d like to switch back to Mint.

Mark Says:

+1 for blackberry application…..make it happen!

RT Says:

Blackberry Support please….Blackberry Curve 8900 is outselling the iphone, AND Blackberry has been around now for quite some time. Seems like Blackberry app should have been first!

Josh Childress Says:

RT.. Agreed. Not only 8900 product, 83xx product & 9000’s product has been outselling over iPhone. They should have thought lots of users are using Blackberry. My question, they should had done a survey before release the iPhone apps. If their survey finds higher percentage of Blackberry users then they should have done released Blackberry apps first than iPhone apps. Just my 2 cents!

ed Says:

BB curve 83xx app is much needed to help me control & monitor my families spending on the go! BB +1

bed Says:

Another Blackberry Curve vote here… pleaseeee!

Victor Cao Says:

Android please!

stev0 Says:

Anoter vote for the Blackberry. Even just a mobile version of this site would be amazing; I would be willing to PAY to use the service if I needed to.

Great job so far guys, thanks for the hard work :)

user Says:

vote +1 android
by my quick count 23/107 comments are asking for an android app…

Craig Bellot Says:

Please add the ability to split and categorize transactions!!!!!!

Thats what I do most on mint.com.
Great first version.

Madhava Says:

wolfcry0 Says:

I LOVE mint and would be very happy to see an android app.

Thanks for the great work guys!

PJ Says:

Please develop an android mint app. I would love to use Mint on my G1.

Eilleen Says:

We need an for the Blackberry, please.

After contacting your customer service center with an inquiry about a Mint BB application, I was instructed to use the iphone version. Hello! It’s not compatible and I am not buying an iphone, period.

There’s no need to be misleading.

Ralph Says:

Please release an app for the G1 Market!!!! Mint is the best free service I’ve ever used.
