We’re proud to announce that our iPhone application launched today. If you’re a Mint.com and iPhone user, we invite you to unwrap this holiday gift early — download it now, it’s free!

If you’ve been waiting for a great mobile money app before opening your free Mint.com account, sign up now. Add your bank, credit card, loans and investment accounts, and then download the iPhone app. It only takes minutes and it’s all free. You’ll be well on your way to keeping a New Year’s resolution to better manage your money.
Our iPhone app delivers the same simple yet powerful experience you get from our web service — right to your phone, and updated automatically. Discover the comfort and joy of having access to your financial information anywhere, anytime — particularly useful during this busy season:

- Check your credit card balances from that seemingly endless checkout line.
- Monitor your gifts budget in real time, in case your loved ones are burning up the plastic at another mall.
- Stay on top of your finances while traveling. You’ll know if your paycheck cleared without navigating your relative’s dial up service.
- Watch your investment performance, distributions and dividends. Helpful in deciding when it’s okay to sell and realize those capital losses, sadly.
Security Feature: Rest assured that you can disconnect iPhone access from your Mint.com Profile should your iPhone ever be lost or stolen. More information about the Mint.com app.
If you use a different phone, please don’t feel that we’ve come empty handed. Remember that Mint.com alerts can be sent to any phone via SMS. And we just introduced inbound text messaging last month. Text BAL to MyMint (696468) to get real time balances, anytime.
Please comment here with your initial feedback and reviews of our new app. What do you like; anything you dislike? Please tell us how you’re using the app and what new features you want most!

1 2 3 ... 6 Next »I love mint and was excited to see the iphone app but was it would not install on my ipod touch. I do know know why Mint would think I wouldn’t want to use it on my ipod touch. This is the first app that I have found that was iphone only. What gives Mint?
I just wanted to say thanks. This iPhone app is amazing and the interface fits in great with the other applications. Mint is a great service and finally having access on my phone is liberating. Great job!
Totally awesome. I’ve been waiting for something like this from you guys for a while, thanks!
Friggin’ awesome guys! Thanks a lot for getting this done, been wanting it for quite a while now.
I do have a couple of suggestions for the app. The main overview screen feels pretty cramped currently, mainly due to the “Accounts” section on top. The dollar amounts in there (Cash and Credit Debt) have nearly zero white space around them which makes it fairly painful to look at. I’m probably a bit picky over details though being a Mac and iPhone interface designer myself.
The other thing I really, really wish was included is the interactive “Where you spend” chart from the website. You have the same information in the “Cash flow” section of the app but it’s not nearly as visually intuitive as the pie chart. There’s also no way to look at the sub-catagories like you can when clicking on a slice of the pie chart on the site. The iPhone is all about “quick and easy” and I think the interactive pie chart would be a huge boon in this.
I don’t want to sound like I’m all complaints though! I know how hard it is to get a new app together like this and make it great. You’ve done a wonderful job so far and I hope the future updates make it that much better!
YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Any chance of an Android application being developed, or any resources you’d recommend for the open source community to develop one?
Glad to see that mint.com is finally moving to mobile. How long before Blackberry users are taken care of as well?
So glad to see this app! One thing I would suggest is the ability to hide accounts from the iPhone app, say if you didn’t want people to see your savings account or investments or if you have multiple accounts and you only want to use the iPhone to keep track of your credit card or checking.
I love Mint!!!
Just downloaded the iPhone application. Yes, I have the same problem that the budget field won’t display on iPhone (3G/software version 2.2)
I’m looking forward to see Mint come up with a fix for that!
Thank you!!!
Great… now if only there was an Android version.
Having same problem with budget. I tried removing a budget item from website and creating it again but had the same result. No Budget on iPod Touch. I appreciate all of the hard work. Question, does this app store records on the iPhone or iPod Touch? Just curious as to wether I will be able to access my info when I do not have a WiFi connection and does the app look back to information stored on the mint website or does it get its info from the users financial providers?
Thanks again Wonderful app.
Android will take one please. Love your service and would love to see it on my G1.
I am getting the following error when i click install:
Not Compatible
This application is not compatible with this iPhone.
Great app! It would be great for it to save my e-mail address (but NOT password)… much easier to log in that way. Alternatively, I’d love to be able to set up a passcode, sort of like 1password or other secure apps. (Note: I don’t want the phone-wide passcode – mostly I don’t need it. Just for the Mint app.)
I am happy that an app has been released for the iPhone. However as a T-Mobile G1 user I would LOVE to see this app for the G1. Are you guys planning on creating an app for the G1 as well?
Viva la G1!!
This is amazing!! Mint is blowing quicken out of the water! I hope you guys Make an app for Android!
Thanks Mint! Could not have asked for a better Christmas present from you guys…
One more for Android. Looks cool, but you know those t-mobile plans are cheaper — perfect for the mint user.

I have a blackberry. When is “eventually”?
How do you know what your user phone usage stats are? I don’t recall being asked what I use when I signed up?
Can’t really complain of course. You provide a great, free, service. And I thank you for it.
Congrats on your iPhone launch. I would like to add my voice to the android request. Or even better an open API?
I’m a Mint AND Blackberry user and would love to see the mobile app on my device. How about a tab/button/field/poll on the webpage so everyone can let you know what devices they’re using? I’m pretty sure we crackberry users are more than 20%…
It’s great that you are getting to our mobile devices… any chance you are working on something for the BlackBerry?
Thanks again for a great app and responsive/ingenious development team!!
This would be great… if I had an iPhone
How about a Blackberry Edition for all us crackberry addicts? PLEAAAASE…
thanks. Keep up the good work Minters!
At least please support version 2.1 and 2.2. Why limit the install only to 2.2…not everyone is running iPhone 2.2 =(
Here’s another vote for a Blackberry version, I think that would be great. Any estimates on how long?
Love your service, better mobile access would be fantastic.
It says
“Not Compatible
This application is not compatible with this iPhone”
nice one mint. please release an update that fixes this error.
@gene
Yeah, unfortunately they set this up to only support iPhone 2.2, which is the new version just released by Apple.
@Mint
Not everyone is running version 2.2 – for various reasons. At least please support version 2.1. I’d be more than willing to test the Mint app on my iPhone 2.1…let me know.
Great! So where do we vote for a Blackberry application?
+1 for me too, I would also love to see an app for Android. Love Mint too
Register another vote for a Blackberry app, that would make the site much more useful!
Here is another voice to support 2.1 and not to limit to 2.2 only. I am sure there are so many people like me who don’t want to upgrade to 2.2 at this moment…so please release a 2.1 version..
That’s what is awesome about Android don’t have to jail break the the phone. So looks like if you want mint your going to have to jail break it again when you get your 2.2 version. Mint is on top of there game… Give them big time props.
+1 on the Blackberry vote. Being able to check my mint.com data when I’m out of the house without worrying about monitoring software (both illegal or company based) would be oh-so-nice.
iPhone 2.1 version compatibility, PLEASE!!
This is one of the things I love most about this blog… there is always something really cool that I didn’t know existed. Now if they make this for the Blackberry Storm, I’ll be a happy man!

+1 for the 2.1 support if feasible
I’m having the same issue with budgets. Looking forward to the update! Great app for a great service.
For all those that have 2.1, can’t you sync w/ iTunes and upgrade to 2.2 easily (it should prompt you to update to 2.2)? Then the Mint app should work.
Another vote for Blackberry, and please – for ALL recent berries, not just the Storm and Bold. Curve is the most disseminated model in the last two years, give us some love!
Yes, please take care of us blackberry folks.
+1 for Blackberry Storm.
Thanks for the great service, I love it.
+1 for Blackberry
Let’s all stop complaining so much. Let’s remember that Mint is a free service.
Blackberry app coming soon?
+1 vote for an Android version.
@Stephen: Going by the number of your current users that also use Android is looking at things backwards. It’s just the opposite — putting this app on the Android Market would drive a ton of new customers to you.
Blackberry users use Mint more than iPhone users do. Please make a Blackberry app (especially for Storm). Thank you for providing a great free service!
Wonderful app! I have a suggestion: it’s a bit of a pain to type in my login and password every time and I don’t want to stay logged in as I sometimes hand my iPhone to friends to play around with.
What would be nice is if the Mint iPhone app could have its own 4 digit PIN code (or use the iPhone’s 4 digit PIN – that could work too).
That adds a layer of security and simplicity for the user!
+1 vote for Blackberry Bold.
Considering this website is geared towards those with an interest in finances, Blackberry should have been their first pick!
One more thing,
For those of you wondering “Why the iPhone before the Blackbery”, Apple’s APIs are pretty wide open and they supply a lot of useful tools.
Rim on the other hand is a bit more stingy with their 3rd part development tools, which makes it difficult for another company to make a really nice product for the Blackberry.
TLDR: Apple makes it a lot easier to write apps for the iPhone compared to the Blackberry.
I agree with my fellow CrackBerry users commenting on this post. Please don’t forget about us! I realize iPhones are the hottest thing since American Idol, but the BlackBerry crowd is strong as well. Plus I wonder about demographics . . . which users have more financial accounts that need tracking, budgeting and management? It may be more balanced than I think!
PS: How’s your tax software integration coming along?

@Robert: And Android’s APIs are even more open.
