  1. I anyone else having problems getting National City Bank credit cards to connect?

    • Spooner

My national city works fine. Sometimes you need to redo your security passwords and make sure mint has all the exact same security passwords… not just the regular password.

  2. I would like to have mint track my online accounts like cable, gas, water, ipass, etc. Your alerts features are great!
This might also help to automatically categorize some of the manually categorized items by comparing payments and dates.

    • I was actually just poking around the site hoping that it already did this. Keep track of what I spend in a month definitely should include regular bill payments.

    • While this would be a tremendous feature, I have a feeling it would take a while to implement. Just like there are so many different credit cards and banks out there, there are tons of utility companies. This would probably double their work load. It’s possible that they have this in the works, but it’s definitely going to take time.

  3. I would like to be able to add cash transactions. Also, I’ve sent two emails to mint about issues I’m experiencing with the budget totals not being accurate. Not sure if there secure email within the sight (that I can’t find), or if I receive an email directly in my email account Thanks!

  4. Nice. Pretty new graphs. Mint, don’t take this the wrong way, but why is it that you seem to be lacking one of the most critical features of a personal finance management application – automatic updating? Your literature is misleading and led me to believe that it would automatically sync and update my transactions “on-the-go” and this is entirely false so it seems. I’m sitting here looking at my “update” now 17 minutes ago, and it isn’t showing the two large transactions that just took place this morning (it’s now 1:39 PM EST by the way). In fact it’s still showing all balances, etc., as of yesterday when I finished tweaking my budget – thought all was good then, but this is useless if it doesn’t update my transactions in a timely fashion. I could care less for the new graphs until this issue is solved, otherwise I’ll find another application to use.

Mint pulls from your banking. Some bank transaction are listed as pending. Mint does not count those transactions. With my bank pretty much any transactions from friday afternoon to monday morning will be defered. Its usually not mints problem per se, more of a way that transactions are recorded on the bank.

    • Don’t take this the wrong way, but go find another app. Don’t spend your time whining about updates not happening within a half a day when it’s free, innovative and incredibly useful software. Oh, and it’s “I COULDN’T care less,” not “I COULD care less.” Thanks Rob.

  5. I’m having trouble connecting to Western Federeal Credit Union to Mint.

  6. Michele

Can we get bill reminders (like on quicken). That really helps me stay on top of things. Thanks!

  7. Amanda B

I’m not using this until you get my banking institution on here. I’ve sent repeat requests. None of your services can help me if you cannot accurately portray my cash and liquid assets.

    • I have been sending several request in to have Public Service Credit Union added but it hasnt happened yet. What does it take? I need to have this added as this wis where i keep all my checking and savings.

  8. I second…it would be awesome if Mint could also track bills — gas, water, cable, cell phone — and track when they are paid each month.

    • I’m very new, so I apologize if this is redundant. I also noticed that when I pay my utilities and other bill online, they show up on my bank statement as just a check number. Requiring me to go back to my on line bank statment and pull up a copy of the check to see who it was paid to. Then I have to go back to mint and manually enter the utility I paid online. I can see where this is going to be impossible for mint to automatically record because the bank only gives a check number. I don’t know the answer. Is there something I don’t know or will I always have to do this?

  9. Arnold McKenney

If you could print a running balance in transactions your site would be perfect

  10. mdusing

Seems to be an issue with all banks. I haven’t gotten mint to work with my bank for 2 weeks now. Why is there no blog post about this? WHAT IS GOING ON MINT??

  11. David Shultz

I would like to use Mint.com as a checkbook register. In order to do so, I would need to be able to enter transactions manually, before they clear the account. I don’t see any way to do this. Am I missing something?

    • Carolyn

This is my only complaint about Mint, that I cannot manually add items that haven’t cleared (I like to know how much money I have at my disposal without having to wait for transactions to clear). From the research my husband has done, this is not something Mint is looking into doing. I sure wish they would, though! I would pay for that service.

  12. etorgerson

PA 529 won’t connect. There are no security questions. The website link doesn’t take you directly to log in. PA has changed their website. What’s the fix?

    • I have the same problem. Don’t know how to fix cause it takes 2 steps to get to the 529 website so probably Mint unable to acess in 2 steps.

    • pkdark

I have the same issue with OBA Bank in DC. The bank formerly used a “matrix” to get to accounts. It was horrible and after a few months of complaints, the bank discontinued using it. But Mint still requests information only provided by the matrix. They’ve been sending me emails requesting screenshots of the site, which I have sent. But what good is that if they don’t make the change?

  13. Are you ever going to make a palm pre app?

  14. Dennis

It just doesn’t make any sense! You keep saying updated accounts and it is 3 months or more for some of mine. I keep updated info. and to no avail. What’s up with this? Nice idea but, seems to have too many issues that have not been fixed. Come on folks.

  15. I would like to request that you add Municipal Credit Union. I have requested this some time in the past and it still has not appeared on the credit union list. I do all my banking through my credit union.

  16. Robert

How can I add National City Mortgage? Can’t seem to find it

  17. George

I have been waiting a month for FMS Bonds to be added. The bulk of my investments are there. Come on Mint, get these important institutions on line or I am going to switch somewhere that can get the updates.

  18. Nicole

Mint would be the BEST tool for budgeting if it weren’t so difficult to get some of my credit card accounts running.

  19. This site is great. I would like to request support for Piedmont Advantage Credit Union (pacu.org). I have loans, checking, savings, and a credit card through them. Thanks!

  20. whitney

    DEPARTMENT STORES NATIONAL BANK……please

  21. Need to add Public Service Credit Union, how long does it take to add a bank?

  22. 1 one card needs to be added, how long does it take to add a bank!?

  23. We really need to be able to post cash transactions. Has anyone heard when that will be available?

  24. Richard

Three days ago, Mint stopped logging into my bank accounts. I get the “Problem logging in message”. All of the account information is correct and has been triple-checked. The FAQ is useless, as is all the other help information, and Mint itself is non-responsive. So one has to conclude that Mint is migrating in the direction of all successful web businesses that get too big for their britches — to hell: faulty software, lousy customer service, and increasingly an “attitude.” I’m gone if this isn’t fixed — who needs the aggravation?

  25. Andrew Carey

    Blackberry App please!

  26. Sanjay

How can this be anonymouse, when I am sharing my bank account details.

  27. Well, THIS is dumb…after questioning Quicken Online for 5 months about not being able to access my credit union’s checking and savings accounts, then getting an email that Quicken Online has “partnered” with Mint.com, I find it very interesting that Mint.com DOES allow access to my credit union. What’s up with that?!?!? Is this a result of outsourcing tech support again? All of the support emails had “outsourced” names.

    Geesh.

  28. Looks good to see all the transactions at the push of a button in iphone. How can I add Digital Federal credir union? It always gives an error when adding this account.

  29. Congratulations and thank you for all the new features and benefits to Mint. I especially like the new budgeting, improved graphs and better filters. This website keeps getting better and better.

  30. Can I EXCLUDE an account from my totals and alerts, without eliminating the account all together? I have a savings account which is strictly an expense reimbursement account from my company. I incur business charges on a Corporate American Express, and receive a reimbursement check from my company. That check is deposited into my dedicated savings account and i use that to reimburse AMEX. I want to track it, but I don’t want it factored into my summary totals. It skews all the numbers as it lists all those payments to AMEX as travel.

  31. Anyone have trouble connecting the loans from State Employees Credit Union (NC)?

  32. Would really like to have an ability to subtotal/aggregate some of my investment accounts – like all the accounts under one company (like I see on the company statement) – instead of having ALL the accounts listed – I’d like to have an ability to GROUP some of my investment accounts – customized…

  33. Still cannot get Air Academy Credit Union or USAA bank updated to reflect real transactions; Mint site is useless for me without those items…

  34. Michael P. Brown

Is there a way to include utilities? Am I just not seeing it? I’d like for it to track that spending, if possible. Otherwise, I am really happy with Mint.com, it’s very useful to me. Seeing everything in one place is illuminating

  35. MARTHA

I,M HAVING HARD TIME CONNECTING WACHOVIA MORTGAGE AND CAPITAL ONE ACCOUNTS ON MY MINT ACCOUNT

  36. jdizzle

Does anyone know if you can get a Best Buy card on here?

  37. Ralph Utsman

I own other peoples mortgages that are paid tome each month. How do I enter these?

  38. Hi,
How do I view transactions only for a specific period? If my previous month’s MC bill (closing on the 5th of the month, but due on the 30th of the month) was $2567, for the rest of that month, I need to subtract that amount from the total to see how I am doing this month. We have two credit cards we use regularly and pay off completely closing at different times, and it is very distracting to have to remember that last statement balance to subtract from the ongoing amounts.

  39. is anyone else having difficulties synching their Raymond James’ accounts with Mint.com? Thanks.

  40. When are you going to get expense reports that we can run? Why check off the tax button if we can run a monthly expense report?

  41. Anyone have trouble with connecting the loans for State Employees Credit Union (NC)?

  42. This is great. These reports will be very helpful. What I would REALLY like to see, though, is a simple Profit / Loss report (or Income / Expense report) that shows how much I made and spent in each category within a date range. Just something I can give to my accountant and be done!

You can kind of do this now, but it’s two separate reports (run it once for Spending by Category, and again for Income by Category), but it doesn’t give you the net total and it’s not really a complete report I can give to my accountant. Any chance you’re working on this?

  43. Is there a way to enter manual transactions (basically pending) such as when I write a check so that I can see what my true balance should, and then when it hits the bank, I can match them up?

If not, that would be nice… a couple of other free on line apps do that but don’t have as nice an interface.

  44. Kudos to Mint for creating a free online system where I finally can see my entire financial life. They support every one of the companies I do business with, and some of them are probably obscure. Mint is supporting 2 checking, 2 credit card, 4 savings, 8 investment and one loan accounts for me. Thanks, Mint, and good job.

  45. Justin

I would be really excited about a weekly budget. Monthly is difficult to gauge.

  46. I anyone else having problems getting CalNational Bank checking account to connect?

  47. Firstly, I love mint.com. I joined up after reading about Mint in the New York Times and am very happy with the services that I’ve been able to connect with thus far. My credit union was missing for many months, which is understandable because they aren’t the most technically-savvy institution. That said, I use them for checkings and savings, so I was excited when I was finally able to add them a few weeks ago. Unfortunately, the account won’t connect properly, and I just got an error message today when I went to fix it that my credit union is “not supported”.

So the question is, when is an institution supported, and whose side needs to help with that? Would it be helpful if credit union users asked their CU’s to help more on their side?

Finally, any chance that financial institutions from Europe might be added in the near-future? Would love to get my foreign checking accounts on here.
    Thanks so much!

  48. Roberto

I like to have a full functional mint tab in Facebook

  49. Some of my transaction dates are grayed-out, some as far back as 2007 and across different accounts, whether they are still active or not. It’s always been a mystery to me, could someone tell me what it means? Thanks!
