« Previous 1 ... 12 13 14 15 16 17 Next »Has there always been a plug on the main page to get my credit score? It seems kind of a like non-Mint thing to do and is in very sharp contrast to the rest of the site. What’s the deal with that?
Is there a way to create a new category, and then add sub-categories to it? (Sub-su-categories would be even better!) I can only see a way to add sub-categories to existing categories.
The ability to manually input cash transactions would also be very helpful!
hi mr.bob – i do agree but here is just a quick suggestion in the meantime…if you see atm withdrawal in your transactions, click show details, then you can click ‘split’. this will allow you to add multiple line items to track what you used the cash for. hope this helps you! ks
mint looks great. is there a way to use Federal Tax Categories (are they already available, e.g. “Meals & Entertainment”)? is there a way to run reports on the data like i can in Quicken? Income/Expense, by category, by month, 1 yr, YTD, etc.?
Mint has solved one big problem with Quicken: the 32 character transaction description limit. thanks!
Part of putting our nation back on its financial feet, should include encouraging every adult to create a budget that helps them live within their means, save & invest and prioritize their expenses as well as needs vs wants. Learning how to use Mint or a similar program should be part of every school curriculum and every career retraining and adult education program!
FaceBookUser, You are right! & some one should pass that principle on to Washington from the family base. We have to get all of those CHILDREN in Congress trained in money management!!
What was the big idea turning off Quicken Online!!! I had more history there than in Mint and you guys didnt even give me a chance to move it to Mint. That is screwed up.
Looks like quicken online is still there http://www.quickenonline.intuit.com
I am unable to access my brokers account and can’t seem to add my credit union credit card. Help
Those of us who SAVE and INVEST by using low actual cost brokers such as Options house or Trade king and not just those who advertise with you can’t track our savings / investments on Mint.com
Is it possible to add more than one phone notification number?
Is there going to be a feature like Quicken had where I can see how much is left until my next paycheck? I have bills paid every two weeks and I can’t put that in…
I am a little annoyed that I didn’t get any warning that Quicken was being shut off. I had a lot of info on there that I needed to transfer to Mint. A little warning would have been nice.
a cool feature would be if you can create two budget categories for income paycheck since most people gay paid twice a month. This way, it can be handy to see how much money will be available throughout the month.
I would really like to be able to track spending and budget against my money market account. I keep all of my cash in that account and have to savings or checking account. My use of Mint would greatly expand if I could do that.
I cannot add my credit union checking account. Same credit union seems to work for credit card, but not checking and savings. I have sent many emails. I only got one response saying you don’t support every bank. No duh. But if you support the credit card, why not the checking/savings. It would be nice to get an intelligent answer back.
I have had a similar problem with my credit union too! I can find both savings and checking, as well as my credit card, but I have a loan out there too, and it doesn’t show up! There’s nothing existing for that!
Hi:
Can I temporarily exclude a month to more accurately reflect long term trends (e.g. exclude the month I get my bonus/pay taxes)?
Thanks!
My wife and I both use Mint but created seperate logins and accounts prior to getting married. Is there a way to joing these accounts without having to start all over?
Great improvements and improved stability. Would be excellent to be able to add cash transactions paid from another, not included, source. The split ability does not work because an existing atm transaction of, say, $300 cannot be split into a total of $800.
Thanks!
Bob
Great site! I love having to go to only one site to check finances. Easy to navigate also. Thanks, Paull
How about “by popular demand” you release a blackberry app? You know, the most popular smartphone…
How about making it useable on my Blackberry, There are more of these than the iPhone
Agreed,
Plus the Blackberry user base (typically business world) is much more likely to be using an app liek this than the iphone user
Just discovered Mint as I was searching for a program that syncs with Android phones! Nothing to sync with Mint yet but I think we’ll switch from Quicken. Get the Mint-Android mobile app together!!!!
Please why not have there been a Android app made yet what are you guy waiting for.
Really like the tools that are available.
Please get a WebOS Palm Pre App working for this site.
I am not able to link up TCF Bank. Hopefully you will add it soon.
How do you see budget totals?
I have been working on an Excel solution for some time now to address PFM that Mint addresses. Several features that would be nice to see on Mint:
- Debt tracking over time (incl. balance and avg effective APR)
- Cash flow tracking (and some projection using avg income & expenses) throughout each month
- Seasonality in budgeted income and expenditures. Currently, every month’s budget is the same. Some months have, say, higher gift spending expectations (December) or air conditioning electricity usage (mid-summer months), but there is no simple way to budget this in Mint. Also, some people get quarterly bonuses or have three-paycheck months. No provision there.
I love this! I would love for mint.com to add a “forecast cash flow” option like the old Microsoft Money and allow you to add your bills and income. Excellent idea keep up the good work.
I think it would be great to filter the deposit accounts on the budgets. So one deposit account’s transactions wouldn’t count against a budget set up for another.
Thanks. I really like mint.com and appreciate all that you do.
I can’t seem to add my Great Lakes Borrowers student loan for Mint to track it. When you set up your online account at Great Lakes, in addition to giving you a password, they give you 10 personal questions to answer. Whenever you log in, it asks you 2 of those questions at random, then your password.
when you create the log in credentials in Mint, it only gives you the ability to provide 5 questions. I can’t get it to work!! Help! It’s giving me a false sense of my net worth!!
I have a Northwestern Mutual Life insurance account.
Some people consider this to be a savings or investments account, however when I tried to add the account I made online, it wasn’t accepted by your site.
When I contacted my insurance provider they assumed it was because it wasn’t considered and “investment”.
This account adds to my worth and I’d like to have it on my Mint portfolio.
So what can I do to fix this?
I have always been trying to find a program of some sort that will allow me to organize my bills by when they are do and my paycheck date. This way I know when I have to pay what. Is there a way to incorporate that into this?
I would like to see an ability to transfer the information from quicken directly to Mint
Can your developers make an application for the Verizon Droid phone???
Is there a way for mint to show net spending in a category? For example, if you spend $500 on a home improvement project but then return $150 of materials and labell that as home imporovement too, shouldn’t it show on the budget at $350 in expenses on home improvement?
I just wish they could do a better job at two things: First, rolling all the cool things about quicken into Mint.com as well as transfer your information from Quicken into Mint.com. Second, find all the accounts you have. Major banks and major accounts can be found on Quicken, i.e, my student loan and mortgage, however, they can not be found on Mint.com. I thought this was an upgrade. The graphics are much better, the way you can forcast your savings, budgets and network are phenomenal, now get the simple stuff straight and I will be in Money Nirvana!!
I second your recommedation to be able to convert and include data from Quicken.
If Mint can incorporate sale taxes in all purchases, it will be very helpful to see a complete pictures.
The option to add a manual account (or multiple) would help so much for cash and for credit Union accounts that won’t link. Unfortunately I can’t totally use this until then. Seems like such an easy solution I can’t believe they haven’t added it yet.
Please add a way to add transactions – so I can enter a check i know i wrote but that hasn’t cleared, and to track cash spending!
I use multiple brokerage accounts as checking and savings accounts, so my cash always gets lost in my investments section. It would be great to be able to classify a brokerage account as a checking and/or a savings account!
it would be nice if there was a free form space next to the monthly budget categories where users could make a note to the monthly expense. For instance you could input the due date, whether the account is auto pay or not, which account it is auto paid from (checking, credit card, savings, etc). Also, check mark box to keep track of what you have paid for the month but might not necessarily have posted to your account.
Is there a way to add a calendar feature? This would solve a few problems listed below me– You could set a range of dates, or a single date using click and drag like you can with months, but with days at a time instead. For instance, you could set Sunday, Dec 20, through Tuesday Dec, 22 as last minute gift shopping time you’ve set out; you plan to spend another $500 at the most. Or, let’s say that the 5th of every month your phone bill is due, and at most it’s averaging $160 a month. Now you have a more accurate plan that would be more practical to daily life. Also, incorporate into this type of budget a means to automatically make the payments for the day(s) you have picked out match up with what you’ve budgeted, ’cause chances are the actual payments you make would be in the category you have planned. But what happens if you have two budgeted items that overlap on days? For instance, say my Well, you could have a graph or chart in the day, that had an accurate scale for what you’re spending/making (out of the total spent/made that day.) Wouldn’t this also help in projecting for the future what you’re already going to be spending, and what you’ll be making? Something similar to your projected savings for credit cards, or savings accounts, etc., on the “Ways to Save” tab, but tailored to your spending habits, and your income management–Who wouldn’t want to see what’s left at the end of NEXT month by changing what’s spent in the current month? Also, can you make it easier to access my credit union’s info? I have a savings account and a checking account, a credit card, and a loan out from my credit union, and when I log in there’s everything all on one page. Why am I only allowed to see my savings and checking account on here when they’re all on the same page? Is that the problem? Nonetheless though, I love this product, and I can’t wait to see the next improvements! (I understand it takes a while to code things, but don’t make us wait too long for a taste of something new! We are needy people!)
my student loan companies are not available:
OSLA
and
US DEPT OF EDUCATION
please.
I am in transition and my income is scattered between real estate and art I have one checking account for most of my financial activity debit/credit,.bill pay, deposits, online payments and a couple of savings money market accounts kids college & investment. I Had access to quick books pro so I have been using it for a couple of years to log in all of my transactions. It is set up for companies only so right there I am frustrated it all seems so confusing to me, I just want to keep track of everything for taxes and to help me make financial decisions. Still trying to barge through my mental block with numbers and finances I am totally winging it and just use QBP to record all the activities that go on in my checking accounts, I set up separate check registers for the two other accounts. Every single check or debit or deposit is recorded as vendor, even if it is a person I just put vendor is that right? Then you must choose account so I have all kinds of things from groceries, auto, to “money I transferred from savings” another is rebates (i didn’t know if that was income or expense) etc…. I really feel like I am way off track because I just want to see how much I spend on groceries and the reports are mumbo jumbo to me, annual reports profit and loss, etc Is there a different software that I should be using? What is everyone else doing? Why am I so confused?
Would like to be able to add categories…
Is there a way to add my Federal student loan accounts?
how can I add data/transactions from previous months to my mint account?
Idea for a future feature update:
Within the transactions area, while setting a particular transaction business/location to ALWAYS be a particular category, it might also be nice to ALWAYS tag something as reimbursable by applying criteria (like if the dollar amount is +/- $1.00).
As an example, I pay for monthly fuel (and other things) that at the end of the month I am reimbursed for. I keep track of these now by always spending the same amount each time at the pump, so my example criteria is ALL Gas & Fuel categorized transactions, that are $25 (+/- $1.00) should also ALWAYS be tagged as Reimbursable, etc
When will you support european bank accounts (i’m with fortis in the netherlands)
Clicking on a bank account lists transactions as seen in the bank account which is great. However, once you pick a transaction and split it into several categories, all the split amounts are shown. It would be great if you could have a toggle on/off switch to show only the summary transaction as opposed all split transactions.
I have one bank account and a real estate which is a shared account owned through a partnership with 2 others. I have 33.33% ownership. It would be great if we can specify ownership percent on an account and have that reflected in the net worth. Also, a $300 deposit in a bank should show up as $100 when I run my report on that bank.
Please make an app for Blackberry – we’re all waiting for it
I didn’t think I would appreciate the email alerts but I’ve actually come to love them. One thing I would love to see added are payment reminders for bills that could also be incorporated into the budgeting so you can not only forecast your expenditures but be reminded to get those payments out on time. You seem to do it for credit cards but I’d like to see it for utilities and such.
Is there a way to set my next months budget right now? I can seem to find it.
Thanks you!!!
Please make an app for Android.
Is there a way to track trends for our assets? i.e. home values?
