  1. After the Chase and Wamu merger, the two accounts were converted to Chase. But now I’m seeing money getting duplicated. I have DOUBLE the money. Wish that were true. If I cancel my Wamu account I lose all my transaction history. Wonder if there’s a way around that.

    • My Wamu account info is received from Chase, but I cannot change the name to Chase without losing all the info. I elected to leave the name of Wamu and get the info from received from Chase as it does the job. It is discouraging however that we cannot change the name of the institution when it is absorbed by another Bank without losing all of your previous info. Oh well, I guess I’ll live with the old name!

I’m unable to get accounts at Discover Bank or at Hudson City savings Bank upinto my accounts. So far, no help.

  3. I’d really love to see an update that will allow me to track my transactions that haven’t yet hit my accounts. Akin to the ‘register’ function in quicken. THAT was a huge component to my financial planning. Pretty please with a cherry on top??

  4. Daniel

It would be greatly helpful to add options / budget time frames for those who get paid twice a month, once a week, once every two weeks, and other popular paycheck intervals. I get paid twice a month and plan my budget based on that. Certain bills get paid out of each check, certain payments to pay off debt are planned per paycheck, and so forth. I’m sure I’m not the only one out there that does their planning per paycheck and not per month!

Another idea would be to add a description line to “one time” budgeted expenses.

Also, put my vote in for a Blackberry App!

  5. PLEASE add feature to track transactions that haven’t posted to accounts yet (e.g., checks I’ve written but have not yet been cashed). This is very basic financial planning!!

    • jiznakefoo

I agree completely – otherwise Mint is basically a glorified online bank register. Sure the charts are neat, but without the ability to add bills and unposted checks the program is worthless as a financial planner.

PS – I was referred to Mint from Quicken and want to know how Quicken Online had it but Mint doesn’t? Major oversight.

  6. I love the reminders sent to my email telling me when my bills are due. What I’d love even more is to see a calender or a list of all my due dates.

    • A monthly calendar would be good…..maybe you could link it up to google map…..

  7. Evelyn Sherman

MInt will no longer take my pass word or accept any new ones we have tried, as per your instructions. PLEASE how can we delete everything and them start over.

  8. Stephanie

Please please please add a feature that allows me to enter in investment transacations/accounts manually that are not tracked online. A majority of our retirement is with a company that does not have online account access. Our reports are always wrong b/c of this.

  9. Yes – how can Mint not have a cash account feature? I spend a lot of cash and need to be able to track where it goes. I would even pay for this feature. I know I could use the Quicken software, but having a standalone application (for such a mobile person) is so 2000.

  10. Torrey

PLEASE add http://www.pinnbank.com. This is the only bank I use and I’m going to have to cancel my account if it’s not added within the next month!!!

  11. david ager

Trying to add a mutual fund account at Vanguard. Program insists that I add a bank. It’s not a bank, it’s a mutual fund company, one of the largest in the US. I enter the url, and Mint won’t recognize it. What to do?

  12. Is there a list of the banks that will be added to Mint.com? What is the process of adding a bank? I love the site, but it is somewhat limiting if you cannot add your checking account.

  13. Any possibility of adding a feature that allows splitting a transaction between multiple categories? I used that a lot in Quicken. Thanks!

  14. All of my questions and problems have been answered and resolved in a timely manner. Thanks! I do have a question though, when will there be a Mint app for Android. :-)

  15. How can cash transactions be entered?

  16. Lisa Kerr

Please find a way to integrate with Quicken! :)

  17. Mint looks great, but without letting me enter checks in a register, it is really of little use to me.

  18. Thank you for the free Quicken experience for 2009. The ability to enter future expenditures and project future earnings were great for managing my current financial environment. Thank you much for a great financial accounting year.
What can I use Mint for?
It doesn’t have the utility of the previous Quicken format. I appreciate that abusing me with all kinds of advertising might be necessary for solvency of your institution but at least give me some utility.
I can go back to paper which gave me the capability to forecast my near future solvency. Maybe that is the answer.

    • I agree, Mint.com is only for tracking budget items, and no checks can be issued through it, it is almost useless to me. I track my budget, what there is of it in my head, and on my citibank site. I have managed to reduce $40,000 in debt down to under $18,000, in less than two years. If Mint could do the banking, it would be more usefull. As it is I see no reason to keep it active.

    • The only reason to use a site like this is because it make life easier, this site tries to do that but is failing. I understand that it takes time for perfection, but it seems like no effort is being made. When you log into Mint it says “find out what is new in our newest release” That is from August of last year, there are plenty of problems to fix – why has is been more that four months since an update? The inability to use a calendar to place payment alerts is just stupid, that should take on programmer 5 minutes to create. Please start fixing the problems, or at least make it look like there is an effort.

  19. Without being able to enter my checking account in manually (not on the list yet) make Mint almost of no use other than just a central place to track credit cards.

  20. Manish

I am seeing double entries for all my chase credit cards because I have 2 users on that card. Any way this can be fixed? Otehrwise all the spending data is worthless for me.

  21. Roxter1

I just purchased the HTC Hero smart phone with Android operating system. It would be nice to have Mint.com service via the Android Market.

  22. chris f sherrell

please add premier bank to your list. I have tried to enter the bank you Mint will not except.
    Thank You

  23. Microsoft Money has a projected cash flow tool that was very useful for short and long term planning. I believe the tool projects cash flow based upon budgeted income and expenses as well as past trends.

  24. I still need Pacific Cascade Credit Union and Northwest Community Credit Union and Metlife added to complete my profile….not much good w/o these…help???

  25. Ravi Valiveti

I am really happy with mint.com , I started using Dec’08 . Good to see regular updates . Keep going Mint.com team ..

  26. Sure would be nice to have a reports area where I could print reports that work for me….like Quicken has. Thanks.

  27. I set up an “other” acct which is a personal loan i owe. I make pmts every month. Now I have to remember to manually reduce the loan amt every month. Wish there was a way to either 1. tie my pmt to the “other” acct to reduce the loan. OR 2. Be able to go back to manually adjust the previous months that I forgot to reduce the loan.

  28. Just started using Mint because MS Money is not going to continue with their product. I love the ‘Trends’ section – great work. This is a lot better than reconciling many accounts or using paper! So far, I think I’ll like it better than MS Money.

I’d love a new feature to remind you to do things. For example, I used to put a reminder in MS Money in my ‘pay bills’ section to remind me to make a charitable contribution each month.

  29. I’ve been unable to get information to sync from 2 out of 4 of my Bank of America accounts (WA/ID) for the last two months. Savings and checking sync just fine, but using the same credentials, the 2 credit card accounts will not authenticate.

  30. Mr Jan

I have a HELOC at HSBC and Mint cannot see the balance or activity.

  31. It would be great to see an additional column in the transaction section showing the balance that was left after depositing or withdrawing funds. I was a BIG supporter of MS Money and this was a feature that I’m disappointed to not have with Mint. Also, I’m sure you guys are working on this, but why can’t I add pending transactions? This seems a necessary and basic feature that you’re lacking. When this feature is FINALLY added, please allow some means to merge the pending transactions with what actually goes through. For example, if you were to deposit two checks into an account and the bank processed it as one deposit, but you’d entered into Mint as two separate transactions, please allow users a way to make the system realize that these two transactions add up to the one deposit that went through. Once again, MS Money had this feature and I LOVED it. It just makes for a better and more user-friendly experience… I hope you guys actually read this.

  32. How can I add and track account that doesn’t have data available on the web? MT credit union is behind the tech curve but I still want to use them.

  33. It would be so nice to have a budget in the credit card area. I am currently unemployed and am having to use my cards to get by and it would be so helpful. Also they say that you should keep your current credit usage at 30% or less of total credit line. Can’t they add some more information on the credit card section to let you know what the percentage useage and available credit is. I have been told that % is the number that the cards send to credit reports. Keep it under 30% and you’re golden.

  34. Tom Case

What’s the status of a Mint app for the BlackBerry?

  35. Please add F and M Bank and Trust Texas/Oklahoma. We have about 18 other
accounts all on Mint but this one isn’t on your list yet. Mint can not work for me because our income goes into that checking account! Please ADD F and M Bank and Trust Texas/Oklahoma.

  36. Ric Beattie

Easy setup of the service but several basic things are missing that limit the usefulness for me:

    1. Inability to create an actual split (as in Quicken) taking a single transaction (I make a bill consolidation payment to a credit counseling agency) and spread it across my credit cards while maintaining the link to the individual card companies.

    2. Lack of a Cash account (using splits to do this is painful

    3. Inability to manually add accounts that are not yet available vie web integration.

This service is on the verge of something awesome but not quite there.

  37. Gerald Robert Tietz

It would be nice to print a Balance Sheet from the site.

  38. eleanna

I wish Mint would download accounts up to 12-18 months prior to the current date. That would be helpful.

  39. Wow, with the comments above, it looks like this program is lacking quite a bit, why should I even start using it….

  40. Lindsay

I saw this comment already but had to say it again, mint.com really does need a way to account for cash spent. It is a lot easier for me to save money by using cash, and tracking my card spending is only half of helping me with my budget. Please add an application for cash. I’m looking for another website that can do both

  41. Jeremy

Happy New Year to the Mint Crew! I cannot connect to the Lexus Financial Savings Bank. Please update the broken link to Lexus Financial. Thanks.

  42. Is there any way to create a joint mint account because both my wife and I have our own seperate accounts, but both share a joint mutual account and not sure how to enter that.

  43. when i type in my credentials for Chase, only my credit card info shows up, not my mortgage info. Why is this? How do I get my mortgage info to show up?

  44. My 401 K account is thru BOA. It is handled or powered by merril lynch. I need it added to my accounts some how. Can anyone help?

  45. If your site is free, how do you make money?

  46. Sam Go

Since your recent update, I am no longer able to roll over effectively. It stopped making sense completely!

It seems to subtract the expenses (expenses past the budget that rolled over) against my savings (money unspent that rolled over) and present my “savings” (categories that came UNDER budget) as a negative under “everything else.”

I’ll try reporting it again as a bug, but without getting anyone on the phone to look at the account with me… it’s hard to explain.

  47. I share a credit card with my partner, so, I’d like the ability to delete her transactions in order to just look at my spending habits.
I’m sure other people have similar situations with joint accounts.

  48. thepturk

When I first starting using Mint I was able to get ,my checking account information updated…now it wont recognize Mission Federal Credit Union. Seems bizarre since it used to. I know Mission Federal had an update to their website – perhaps new security measures are making it so that the two cant co-exist??? Would love if you could please look into getting http://www.missionfcu.org fixed.
