Mint.com Free Online Personal Finance Web-App Now Live!
I’m pleased to announce Mint.com is officially launching today at TechCrunch 40 in San Francisco. Our free online personal finance web-app is now open to everyone!
For those of you who have enjoyed our private beta and financial content, now is the time to tell your friends, family, and anyone who could use:
- A little financial organization.
- Free personal finance software
- Insight into where their money goes, across all accounts.
- Email & SMS bill reminders and alerts.
- Personalized savings suggestions averaging over $1,000 during our beta.
Since Mint is free, and only takes a few minutes to setup, why not pass along a good financial tip?
Private Beta Feedback:
We’ve received nearly 3,000 emails in the past few weeks with product suggestions, bug reports, and requests. We read every single one of them, and I just want to say: Thank you; you’re helping make Mint better in a very real way.
While it may take us some time to add all the banks and credit unions requested, we’re working on it. Here are some user suggested features we will be rolling out in the next few months:
- Transaction-level drill-down from the spending pie graph
- Rename / nick-name an account
- Exclude accounts (e.g. don’t show my business account, just my checking)
- Support for student loans, mortgages, and brokerages.
Keep the suggestions coming!
Bloggers & Journalists:
Thank you for respecting our press embargo. The rules of TechCrunch 40 forbade advanced coverage – any leaks would have meant being kicked out of the conference entirely! You are now free to write what you like about Mint, good and bad, screen shots and all. You can find a company background, logos, and screenshots on our PR & Blogger Resources page.
Again, I want to thank every Mint beta user for taking the time to provide such tremendous feedback. I hope Mint continues to be a product you use in your daily life. On our side, we’ll do our best to help you “do more with your money.”
Aaron Patzer
Founder & CEO, Mint.com

« Previous 1 ... 4 5 6 7 Next »I to would love to see Mint in operation in the UK, but the point is that none of our archaic banking institutions (bar Nationwide I believe) allow financial applications like MS Money, Quicken or indeed Mint direct access to to thier systems to allow automated syncing of transactions that Mint requires.
A few banks allow one-way downloads of statements (QIF, OFX etc), but you can’t import them into Mint in any case.
There is simply no point in a Mint UK launch, because the UK banks will not sign up to it.
Not true. I’ve got access via Wesabe to this. OK, its one of mints rivals. Mint needs to catch up in the UK.
What’s missing from the rivals is investment accounts to brokers in the UK
Lovemoney.com are getting in on the act too but it simply isn’t as good as mint. Please bring a UK version.
Another UK potential user.
I found this epic comment thread trying to figure out if Mint was available in the UK. I have to agree with Zach – two years worth of comments (and three in the last day!) might be telling you something.
UK Version – Please!
Forget my last comment:
KUBLAX has come a LONG way in the last few months.
You can keep yer Mint, US people!
Hi
I just want to add to the swell requesting Mint gets into the UK … although it seems evident that its not wholly Mint’s decision if the UK banks aren’t playing ball …
However there are changes afoot here as Spanish Santander are in the process of taking over some of our high street banks … the Abbey and Alliance and Leicester to name but two … perhaps this is an opportunity that Mint can use to get into the market.
In the meantime thanks Alex for the Kublax reference … will get on board with them for now.
Regards
Jane
Yes, A UK version please!!
Us tax payers are paying for there bailouts so they should be more willing to provide this kind of service, or at least allow integration.
It seems to me they love people who are poor at managing there money as its a great earner for them in the from of unarranged overdraft fees etc so probably why they’re reluctant. I would happily pay a few quid a month for my banking if they would charge more reasonably or provide integration to mint or similar systems.
U.K Uppage – beta tester RIGHT HERE!
Peace
UK Mint – I would sign up too
Another vote for access to UK accounts.
Can’t see the problem with the banks – Kublax is doing much the same thing, just no where near as well as Mint.com
Make it happen!
Kublax and Mint both use Yodlee backend information. Once you use any of these services; your personal information is stored on USA based servers. Remember the US “Patriot” Act allows the US gov’t to do whatever it wants (more or less) if it wants to examine your personal information. Be careful who you trust with your personal information. UK banks are far more security conscious on the whole that US banks (I work in the industry both sides of pond). UK banks are very wary of opening any ports in their secured networks; particularly after heavy fines levied on HSBC and Nationwide.
I think a UK version would benefit the UK consumer. May be one for the Banking Regulators to pick up on,
Another UK Vote here!

FYI: Yodlee is available for most of the UK banks

Another UK advocate.
If you launch a UK version (that works with both US and UK bank accounts), you’ve got another customer right here…
