He turned the failing business around and started focusing on investing in other businesses such as insurance companies, restaurant chains, and soft drink manufacturers.

By 2006, Berkshire Hathaway had $240 billion in assets and annual sales of over $100 billion. Because of his investing savvy and the fact that even the federal government has asked Buffett for financial advice, he was given the nickname of the "Oracle of Omaha."
